Double Layer Curtain Wall

Internal-circulation double-layer curtain wall system consists of air-intake system, venting system, and channel-fan system. Air intake is set up to the bottom of the inner glass horizontally, and vent is at the top of the channel between outer and inner curtain wall.

Venting holes are set up on each unit at the top cross aluminum to the side of which round fan tube is connected. During operation, double-layer curtain wall generate negative wind pressure in channel that leads air indoor to flow into the channel to produce air circulation looping from up to down, and the air at last takes out from venting tube.

1. External-circulation double-layer curtain wall consists of outer single-layer glazed curtain wall system, middle special venting system, inner insulated glazed curtain wall system, and power-driven shading system at between the outer and inner curtain walls.

2. In winter, intakes and vents are shut; the air trapped in the air exchange layer is heated under sunshine, then forms a green house, efficiently increases the temperature of the inner glass and at the same time decreases the heating cost of buildings. In summer, intakes and vents are opened, air in exchange layer is heated under sunshine and flows upward to form an air flow looping from down to top; due to chimney effect, heats in channel is taken away and decline the temperature on the inner glass and reduce the cooling cost of building. In addition, by controlling intake and venting ports and the design of the inner curtain wall structure, flesh air is delivered to indoor side from exchange layer, optimized building venting quality.

3. External-circulation double-layer curtain wall not only reduces the influence by solar radiation, also achieves power-saving purpose. Such curtain wall is able to save energy up to 40%-50% for heating and 40%-60% for cooling in comparison with single-layer curtain wall. The whole principle of such curtain wall type is all about naturally airing, with lower cost for maintenance and operation, is the most popular curtain wall type at present. In the open-typed externally-airing curtain wall Intakes and vents can be shut and open functionally.
